Berea

Citation Checker

Paste the citations from your own paper below — one per line works best, though a rougher block of text is fine too. Berea will check each one live: real web search, Google Books lookups for standalone books, and Semantic Scholar lookups (falling back to OpenAlex for the humanities and biblical-studies literature Semantic Scholar covers less deeply) for journal articles and academic papers — the same way it verifies the sources on its own 35 curated topics, rather than just trusting an AI's memory of whether a work exists.

Checked live using Google Books, Semantic Scholar, and OpenAlex for books and papers, plus web search narrowed to a curated set of open-access theological archives and reference sites (rather than the open web) for everything else — a strong first pass, not a guarantee. “Unverifiable” means Berea couldn't confirm it, not that it's proven fake; always worth a second look for anything high-stakes.
